Our Humble Beginnings
Ten Key originated as Personalized Computer Learning in 1994 when owner, Patricia Hendrix, decided to narrow her focus from Corporate Systems Analyst and MIS Director to the field of her knowledge which was most gratifying: Training "end-users" in easy-to-understand language, to use their computers in the home and workplace.

Our Evolution
Ten Key has evolved into a valuable resource for clients to have access to professional help that is easy to get in touch with, reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable. Patricia Hendrix is a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor, and very well versed in PC computers and many common applications such as Microsoft Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint® Project® and Act! 2000®. She is the principle resource, but Ten Key Business Solutions includes other professionals who, together, will provide a complete resource team for small and medium sized businesses to use to manage their businesses from all angles.

Education Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Georgia 1984

Career
CBIS, Inc. 1984 - 1989 Technical Support Specialist for local area network product called Network-OS. Also had duties in sales, training, presentations and international customer relations.

Quadram 1989 - 1991 Sr. Systems Analyst responsible for maintaining a multi-server local area network. Included some COBOL programming, support of accounting department and interactive communications between sales, accounting and shipping/warehouse departments via fiber optics technology.

SouthEastern Tape Distributors 1991 - 1994 Director of MIS responsible for management of computer department, maintaining in house computer systems & local area network, MIS personnel staff of three. Also created a laptop program for outside sales force including daily transmission of sales & reports to corporate, and uploads of email communications to remote laptop. Creation of technical documentation & training program. Maintained cleanliness & functionality of laptops & internal computer hardware and software. Spearheaded teambuilding & empowerment program corporate wide, to define multi-departmental needs and oversee selection process of internal warehouse & shipping software. Maintained corporate database & accounting systems.

Personalized Computer Learning 1994 - Present: Principal & Owner of computer training company. Specializing in "easy to understand" end user training in various Windows applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Explorer, Symantec Act!, QuickBooks accounting software. Class styles include unique "piano lesson style training" which involves 2-hour training classes repeated weekly, (just like piano lessons) in order to maximize learning and information retention. Other class styles include small group training customized to the students' level of expertise and product needs, and large classroom training with a pre-set curriculum.

Ten Key Business Solutions - Current: Beginning 2002, Personalized Computer Learning, Inc. has changed names to Ten-Key Business Solutions, Inc. The purpose of this name change is to mark a change in the primary direction of the company. Rather than focusing strictly on end user training, Ten Key provides a consortium of professionals who are valued resources to small and medium sized businesses. Currently, Ten Key includes a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a professional application software trainer, an MS-Access database programmer, a marketing specialist and website design & management specialist. The future of Ten Key includes management coaching, teambuilding, local area network & computer systems sales, financial & tax planning and advertising.

Professional Certifications
Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor for QuickBooks® 99, 2000, 2001 & 2002, all versions: Basic, Pro & Premier. Not only does this signify an advanced level of expertise in this software, but it also provides clients with discounts on software and supplies. ProAdvisor access to client data via the Internet provides ability to train, problem solve, support, backup data and enter data remotely. ProAdvisor status also provides rapid access to the Intuit's ProAdvisor Technical Support Hotline.
